Immediate to 1 Year plan:
Big need!! We need extra tutor and/or facilitator - asap!!!
We need to get our own premises. Where we can grow and make plans to accommodate everyone that needs help. At the moment we can use the current facility we have for another year. We are only obligated to pay the water and lights bill at our current facility. We receive some enquiries from students that study for OT, Psychology, Speech therapist etc. that want to do there practical months or time with us, but we need to be able to have accreditation to give them accreditation for the time they spent and work for us. We need to know how and where to apply, for the centre can benefit greatly from this. We also need sponsors to help us to pay for workshops and programs that the tutors and facilitators need to go on to improve their skills and knowledge. We need to get sponsors for pupils for there is some that can’t pay the centre fees. To get all the pupils registered on the Sassca disability fund.
2 - 3 Year plan:
We want to talk to local and big companies about work creation for the young adults. That they can have the ability to support themselves in some way and to have a sense of self-worth.
5 - 10 Year plan:
We really want to start a home for young adults with disabilities and/or special needs, to teach them to be independent and to let them have a “normal” life as far as possible. We want them to be part of the community and feel a sense of self-worth.
